What to know before you come to Sanctuary Yoga

Where can we park?

Street parking in front of the studio is available on South 8th, Gibson, and Treadwell. Make sure to read signs carefully for time limits on parking. Please avoid using the parking lots across the street from the studio from 9-5 Mon-Fri as they are private lots. After hours parking in these lots is OK. If the streets around the studio are full, there is always plenty of parking on Treadwell on the other side of South Lamar.

Which classes are good options for beginners?

Sanctuary Yoga offers Yoga Fundamentals which is a great place for beginners to start. This class breaks down the postures and moves at a slower pace. If Yoga Fundamentals does not work with your schedule, Slow Flow, Yoga and Meditation, and Vinyasa All Level classes are great options as well. If you are working with injuries or are interested in stress release and relaxation, try Restorative Yoga. Another great option for beginners is private sessions! You can learn more about private yoga here. New to our studio? Save time by creating your profile here, or arrive 15 minutes early to class to take care of the paperwork.

Are the classes heated?

Classes are not heated with the exception of Forrest Yoga. Depending on the weather outside, certain teachers may warm the room a little with the heater. You can expect most classes to be room temperature 68-72 degrees. Forrest Yoga is usually heated to 80 degrees.

What do we need to bring to class?

We advise that everyone bring a yoga mat and water to class. If you do not have a mat, we have mats that you can borrow, though we cannot guarantee enough for everyone in class. We ask that they are cleaned with our mat spray before you return them. If you forget water, water bottles can purchased for $1 before or after class.
